Kaja Kallas Begins Official Meetings in Tirana, Meets with Albanian Leaders

Kaja Kallas, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, arrived in Tirana today as part of her tour in the Western Balkans.

She comes to Tirana after her visit to Montenegro, where she met with President Jakov Milatović, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, and civil society representatives. Today, Kallas is visiting Tirana.

She was welcomed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, and other government officials. A meeting with President Bajram Begaj is also expected, according to Top Channel.

Kallas will also take part in the signing ceremony for the grant from the European Investment Bank and loan agreements for the Durrës-Rrogozhinë railway.

Tomorrow, Kallas will make a stop in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she will hold meetings with the leaders of the tripartite presidency, the chair of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia, and representatives of the European force in Bosnia, EUFOR, thus concluding her tour.
