Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Donika Gërvalla, addressed the United Nations Security Council, demanding that Serbia hand over Milan Radojčić, the mastermind behind the deadly September 24th attack in Banjskë, which resulted in the death of Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku. Gërvalla emphasized that Serbia’s continued failure to hold criminals accountable only fuels further aggression.

She stressed the clear connection between Serbia and Radojčić, condemning Serbia for sponsoring, arming, and politically backing the group responsible for the attack, which sought to destabilize Kosovo’s sovereignty. Gërvalla also criticized the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) for its recent handling of the incident, calling its characterization of the attack as a security issue a distortion of the facts.

“The misrepresentation of this event in UNMIK’s report is not just an error but a deliberate distortion,” Gërvalla stated. She also expressed concern over UNMIK’s diminishing credibility, suggesting that the mission’s actions were obstructing Kosovo’s development and undermining the United Nations’ standing in the region.

Gërvalla concluded by reiterating the need for Serbia’s cooperation with international investigations and the immediate extradition of those responsible for acts of aggression in Kosovo.
