Today, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina officially requested assistance from EUFOR (the European Union Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina) to support the country’s police agencies in implementing judicial decisions in the case of Milorad Dodik and other individuals involved.

Zheljko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported the request, while Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member and chair of the Presidency, voted against and announced an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska to discuss the decision, citing “vital national interests” and seeking to annul the decision.

The Presidency of BiH stated that the laws and acts of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS), which aim to undermine Bosnia’s sovereignty, pose a threat to the constitutional and legal order of the country and endanger its peace and stability.

Furthermore, the Presidency of BiH called for the dismissal of all police and security agency leaders who have failed to implement judicial decisions and demanded disciplinary and criminal accountability for them.

This move marks a tense political moment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with deep divisions among ethnic and political groups in the country, particularly regarding the authority of Republika Srpska and the central government of Bosnia.
