The United States and Saudi Arabia are expected to reach an initial agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and technology for civilian purposes, U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Uright announced today during a press conference in Riyadh.
He emphasized that more details about this cooperation will be disclosed in the coming months.
Earlier on Thursday, Uright visited the United Arab Emirates, where he stressed that the U.S. views the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar as strategic partners in addressing the growing global demand for energy—a demand driven by the development of advanced technologies.
