At least four people were injured following a house explosion in Austin, Texas, the city’s fire department confirmed on Saturday.

According to a statement posted on platform X, one firefighter sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. CNN reports that the explosion caused significant damage to nearby homes. One neighboring house completely collapsed, while another was partially destroyed.

The blast also led to widespread power outages in the surrounding area after several power lines were damaged. Emergency services have urged Austin residents to avoid the affected neighborhood as recovery and investigation efforts continue.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the explosion, and an investigation is underway.
