The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, convened his cabinet today to address the aftermath of yesterday’s parliamentary session and outline the next steps forward.
During the meeting, Kurti responded directly to calls from the opposition, which he labeled as “irresponsible appeals for a state shutdown.”
“Despite the opposition’s irresponsible calls yesterday for a suspension of the state, the state is functioning,” Kurti stated.
“As a caretaker government, we are fully alert and will not allow an institutional vacuum — not for a day, not for an hour, not even for a single minute,” he declared.
Kurti’s remarks come amid political tension following the failure to confirm MPs’ mandates in the constitutive session of the new parliament, leaving uncertainty over the immediate future of institutional formation.
