The Director for Protection and Rescue in the Municipality of Peja, Gëzim Gashi, spoke about the situation in the city following the floods earlier today.
Gashi stated that the situation is now under control and that all emergency teams have been deployed and are on site.
“After the heavy rainfall in the city of Peja, we experienced several canals overflowing their banks.”
“All firefighting teams and economic operators from the Municipality of Peja have been deployed to the field, and we are all present on the ground.”
“The situation has stabilized, the rain has stopped, and the canals have returned to their normal courses,” Gashi said.
