The agreement between the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Albania has been reinstated, aiming to simplify border procedures for vehicles with license plates from both countries. Starting today, there will be no border controls conducted, allowing for quick and unrestricted movement.

Travelers crossing the Vërmicë border crossing with Albania will now be able to pass without obstacles. The free movement agreement signed between Kosovo and Albania in the spring of last year has helped reduce traffic and simplified border crossing during the summer season.

This year, the simplified procedures will be applied throughout nine months of the year, specifically from May 1 to September 30, and from November 1 to February 28 of the following year.

To handle the increased flow of travelers, border authorities in both countries have deployed all available counters to avoid long waits and ensure the fastest and most efficient passage.
