The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has been admitted to the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade immediately upon his return from the United States.
According to Blic, Vučić was received by the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar, and Dragan Dinčić, former physician to ex-President Boris Tadić.
Vučić reportedly fell ill during an official visit to the United States, after which he sought medical assistance. According to unofficial sources, following a medical examination, he decided to cut the visit short and return to Serbia.
The Office of the President of Serbia announced that the public will be informed in more detail about his health condition in the coming days.
Vučić traveled to the U.S. on April 30, with plans to meet senior officials of the Republican Party, as well as the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
