Time Kadrijaj, MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), stated on Monday that Avni Dehari, the presiding officer of the Kosovo Assembly, proposed holding parliamentary sessions on a weekly basis amid the ongoing institutional deadlock.
“Of course it was rejected by all opposition parties,” Kadrijaj said. “It would be a violation of the Constitution, which clearly states that sessions must be held every 48 hours. Therefore, we did not accept it.”
She added that her party is finalizing its comments for submission to the Constitutional Court regarding the current situation.
“We’re now heading to the Constitutional Court. Today is the deadline for submitting our comments. We’ve prepared arguments supporting our previous filings and justifying why this matter must be taken seriously,” Kadrijaj said.
