From January 1 until today, May 20, 2,700 vehicles from South Korea have been imported into Kosovo, according to figures provided to Indeksonline by Kosovo Customs spokesperson Adriatik Stavileci.
🟦 The total value of these Korean-imported cars is approximately €37 million.
🟦 The customs taxes paid on them amount to around €12 million.
“From January 1 to May 20, a total of 13,000 vehicles have been imported into Kosovo. Of these, 20% are from Korea. The total value of all imported vehicles is €218 million, while the state has collected about €62 million in import taxes,” said Stavileci.
This trend reflects a growing interest in Korean cars, such as those from Hyundai and Kia, which are known for their reliability, modern features, and competitive pricing.
