Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Wednesday that he held a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Zelensky said they discussed joint steps and the need to exert greater pressure on Russia in order to achieve what he called “a just peace.”
“It is important that all decisions are coordinated. That’s when sanctions will be effective,” Zelensky emphasized.
He also stressed that without pressure on Moscow, a fair peace cannot be attained — something he said is now widely understood.
“Everyone understands this,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram, according to Reuters.
