A photo of acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and PDK’s candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, chatting during the Kosovo Basketball Cup final has stirred considerable public reaction. The image, captured at the “Minatori” sports hall, shows the two political figures in conversation, prompting speculation about potential political dialogue or cooperation between their parties.

However, Arjeta Fejza, a Member of Parliament from Vetëvendosje (LVV) who attended the event, clarified during the show “Këndi i Debatit” on Tëvë1 that no political matters were discussed between Kurti and Hamza.

“The discussion was simply about the game. I believe it’s completely natural for public figures to have a casual conversation when they’re at the same event. This is not the first time leaders from different parties meet at such central or local activities,” Fejza explained.

She emphasized that LVV’s stance on cooperation with the PDK remains unchanged: “There’s been no shift in our position regarding collaboration with PDK. Just because a photo shows them talking doesn’t mean there’s political coordination. We’ve made our stance clear. Still, that doesn’t mean we won’t exchange a few words if we meet at a public event.”
