Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Anton Quni has stated that two members of his party have become the particular focus of Vetëvendosje’s attention, as the political deadlock in the Assembly continues.

Following yet another failed attempt to constitute the Assembly, Quni revealed that these two deputies are frequently contacted by Vetëvendosje representatives but are remaining firm in their positions.

“When the leading party cannot secure the necessary votes, it makes no sense to continue with the same agenda. Vetëvendosje should have been the one to offer a solution,” Quni said.

“All deputies are being contacted in different ways. I’m contacted as well by Vetëvendosje officials and intermediaries. But two LDK deputies are under special focus. We have information and even recordings of conversations. They are approached the most, but they remain stable and committed.”

Quni also claimed that certain types of pressure are being applied, including offers of benefits for the businesses of deputies’ family members.

He emphasized that this situation reflects Vetëvendosje’s inability to gather enough votes not just for the Assembly leadership, but also for forming a government:

“When they are not capable of offering a solution, Vetëvendosje should accept one.”
