The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, commented on the repeated failure of the constitutive session, stating that it’s uncertain how the political deadlock preventing the formation of the Kosovo Assembly will end.
Haradinaj hinted that AAK could support the candidacies for Assembly Speaker of former Speaker Glauk Konjufca, as well as MPs Shqipe Selimi and Saranda Bogujevci, stressing that these are names the party could vote for.
When asked about the possibility of supporting Fatmir Limaj as Vetëvendosje’s candidate for Speaker, Haradinaj refused to respond, calling him a “thing of the past” and saying his name is no longer part of the party’s internal discussions.
“The current political deadlock has serious consequences for the country, not only because the situation is being misused, but also because many jobs in the manufacturing sector are at risk. Consumers are being harmed, money is being exported, and the consequences will be deep throughout the country,” he added.
