Italian soldiers from NATO-led KFOR’s Regional Command West are conducting regular ground patrols across Kosovo to help maintain security and stability in the region.

One of these patrols included members of the Swiss Liaison and Monitoring Team (LMT), highlighting the importance of multinational cooperation in preserving peace in the Balkans.

“KFOR continues to carry out its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens and communities in Kosovo, as well as guaranteeing freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner,” the mission stated.

KFOR also reaffirmed its close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), each fulfilling their respective security roles.
