The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held an important meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba during her visit to Tokyo, where they discussed deepening relations and strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
In this meeting, President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the warm hospitality of Prime Minister Ishiba and for Japan’s commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation with Kosovo.
In a Facebook post, Osmani wrote:
“In Tokyo, I thanked Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba for the warm hospitality and his dedication to deepening the partnership between Kosovo and Japan.”
During the meeting, the President of Kosovo discussed concrete opportunities for economic cooperation and other areas of mutual interest.
“During the meeting, we talked about concrete opportunities for economic cooperation and in other fields of common interest. Kosovo remains a reliable partner and a committed voice in defending peace, democracy, and cooperation — values that unite us with Japan.”
President Osmani also expressed appreciation for Japan’s continued support in Kosovo’s state-building process, international integration, and sustainable development.
