The Central Election Commission (CEC) has approved its budget plan for organizing the local elections for Mayors and Municipal Assemblies, scheduled for October 12, 2025.
The total budget approved by the CEC amounts to €16,126,364. Of this, the CEC will request an additional budget of €6,468,412 from the Government of Kosovo.
According to CEC data, the largest portion of these funds, over €7 million, is allocated for electoral bodies, including commissioners and other staff who will be engaged during these elections.
This budget plan also includes provisions to cover the costs for voters residing abroad. Starting with these elections, the CEC will send ballot packages to all citizens who successfully register as voters outside of Kosovo.
