The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Iran has risen to 406, with 654 others injured, according to the Iranian Ministry of Health.

Iranian state television reported yesterday that 60 people, including 20 children, were killed in an Israeli strike on a building in Tehran.

The governor of East Azerbaijan province confirmed 31 fatalities, including 30 military personnel and one member of the Iranian Red Crescent.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Red Crescent said that two individuals were killed when an ambulance was struck in West Azerbaijan province.

Iran’s envoy to the United Nations had stated two days ago that the strikes had left 78 dead and over 320 wounded at that time.

Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said at least 30 women and children were killed over the past three days, though she did not provide a total casualty figure.

Senior military officials confirmed that 18 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have died in various strikes, including the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force who was killed on Friday.

In addition, at least seven Iranian nuclear scientists have been reported killed.
