A 21-year-old Belgian tourist is in critical condition after a Jet Ski accident off the coast of Shkëmbi i Kavajës, near Durrës.
According to preliminary police reports, around 8:00 PM, the tourist, identified by initials H.K., lost control of the Jet Ski during maneuvers at sea and fell violently into the water.
After the incident, he was initially taken to the Durrës Regional Hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was urgently transferred to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
Police have detained the owner of the Jet Ski, a local citizen with the initials S.Xh., for further legal procedures. Meanwhile, a special investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident and document the case legally.
