Erdogan Meets Trump at NATO Summit, Discussing Regional and Bilateral Issues

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with U.S. President Donald Trump today at the NATO summit in The Hague. Their discussions covered regional and global issues, as well as strengthening bilateral ties.

According to Turkey’s Directorate of Communications, Erdoğan welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, acknowledging it was “achieved through the efforts of U.S. President Trump.” He also highlighted the end of the Gaza crisis and ongoing dialogue regarding Ukraine.

During the meeting, Erdoğan emphasized a strong potential for cooperation with the United States, particularly in the fields of energy, investments, and defense. He noted that improving these connections could help achieve the $100 billion trade objective between the two nations.
