Major Explosion and Fire Reported in Schaffhausen, Switzerland

Two powerful explosions were reported this evening in the Swiss city of Schaffhausen, followed by a large fire near the railway station.

Residents in the area reported hearing two loud explosions before seeing flames and large clouds of smoke near the train station. The blasts were reportedly strong enough for vibrations to be felt several hundred metres away.

The Schaffhausen Cantonal Police confirmed that a major fire broke out on Fulachstrasse in the city.

A large number of firefighters have been deployed to the scene and are working to extinguish the flames and secure the area.

As of publication, authorities had not confirmed the cause of the explosions or the fire. There were also no official reports of injuries or the extent of material damage.
