Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reacted strongly to a cartoon published in a satirical magazine, calling it a “vile provocation.”

The cartoon reportedly depicts the Prophet Muhammad and the Prophet Moses shaking hands in the sky, with rockets flying in the background over a war-torn scene.

The publication has sparked outrage among religious conservatives in Turkey and has triggered widespread public and political debate, with accusations of insulting the sanctity of the prophets and inciting religious tensions.

According to BBC reports, four cartoonists were arrested on Monday as part of the investigation into the illustration, just days after the end of the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.
