Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has announced that efforts are underway to constitute the new Assembly of Kosovo within the month of July, aiming to meet the constitutional deadline and pave the way for the formation of new institutions.

Kurti made the remarks after a nearly two-hour meeting on Wednesday with President Vjosa Osmani, as part of her ongoing consultations with political leaders to resolve the institutional crisis that has left the Assembly in deadlock.

“We will do everything we can, in the spirit of cooperation and with the idea of consensus or compromise, to make this happen—so that we can then move forward with the formation of the new government,” Kurti stated following the meeting.

He added that the discussion with President Osmani covered all aspects related to the constitution of the Assembly and an overall assessment of the current political situation.

Kurti emphasized the importance of allowing the President to complete her meetings with representatives of other parties to determine whether sustainable progress can be achieved.

“I believe we should give space to the other meetings, and afterward we can see what kind of progress has been made,” Kurti concluded.
