Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker has commented on his meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Montenegro, stressing that the rule of law and an independent judiciary are essential following the formation of Kosovo’s new government.
In a post on the social media platform X, Stocker described his discussion with Kurti as good and underlined the importance of Kosovo making rapid progress towards European integration.
“In this context, respect for the rule of law and independent judicial institutions are essential,” Stocker wrote.
His remarks highlight the importance Austria places on the rule of law and judicial independence as Kosovo seeks to advance its European integration process following the establishment of its new government.
