Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that Hamas will cease to exist.

“There will be no Hamas. There will be no Hamastan. We will not return to the past. It is over,” he declared.

Earlier, Hamas stated it was open to a ceasefire agreement with Israel that “clearly leads to the complete end of the war,” but did not accept U.S. President Donald Trump’s 60-day proposal. In a statement, Hamas reiterated its aim for a deal that would ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

A Hamas delegation met today in Cairo with Egyptian and Qatari mediators, according to an Egyptian official.
