LDK deputy Arben Gashi stated that the vote for the Speaker of the Assembly must be conducted openly, referring to the decision of the Constitutional Court, reports Rks News.
He emphasized that changing the voting procedure requires a procedural motion and a two-thirds majority of deputies, which he considers unreasonable in this case.
“In formal legal procedure, the election of the Speaker is set to be open. The Speaker of the Assembly must be elected by an open vote,” Gashi said ahead of the 42nd session for the constitution of the Assembly.
Regarding security concerns following the false bomb threat at the Assembly building, Gashi expressed: “I feel safe. The police and security institutions are doing their job, but not us.”
