U.S. President Donald Trump has sharply criticized his former close ally Elon Musk over the billionaire’s plan to establish a new political party.
“I think it’s ridiculous to create a third party,” Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One. “It has always been a two-party system, and I think creating a third party only adds to the confusion.”
After teasing the idea for weeks, Musk announced on X over the weekend that he had formed the American Party to challenge what he termed the “Uniparty” of Republicans and Democrats.
