Major General Enrico Barduani, Commander of KFOR, hosted UK Special Envoy Karen Pierce at KFOR headquarters in Kosovo on Tuesday.
According to KFOR’s official statement, the meeting primarily focused on the current security situation in Kosovo and the EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
“The meeting mainly focused on the current security situation in Kosovo and the EU-facilitated Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue,” the statement read. “In this context, Major General Barduani reaffirmed KFOR’s continued commitment to a safe and secure environment for all communities.”
General Barduani also commended the commitment of the British contingent within KFOR and expressed gratitude for the United Kingdom’s ongoing contribution to peace and stability in the region.
“During the visit, Pierce expressed appreciation for KFOR’s continuous efforts in maintaining security and supporting stability for all communities in Kosovo,” the statement concluded.
