Bojan Jevtić, a police officer arrested today (Thursday) during a joint operation by Kosovo authorities in Dheu i Bardhë, was apprehended on suspicion of espionage activities on behalf of Serbia’s BIA (Security Information Agency), KosovaPress reports. Jevtić’s arrest occurred in the early morning hours, authorized by the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, following a multi-month inter-institutional investigation coordinated by the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK), and the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK).

Allegations and Seized Evidence

Reliable sources from Kosovo’s security institutions confirmed to KosovaPress that Jevtić is suspected of having transmitted classified police documents and operational plans to Serbian intelligence officials for years.

During his arrest, documents from the International Police Association (IPA) were found in his possession. Kosovo is not a member of IPA, while Serbia and Russia are. According to the same sources, KosovaPress learned that following the attack in Banjska, Jevtić allegedly transmitted sensitive operational plans related to border security.

Confirmation and Broader Context

His arrest was confirmed by the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla.

Bojan Jevtić is the sixth individual arrested for espionage in Kosovo within the past year, following the detention of five other suspects in a similar period.
