Pristina, July 19, 2025 — The return of Kosovo’s diaspora for the summer season has led to increased traffic and long waiting times at several border crossing points into the country. The Dheu i Bardhë border crossing has been identified as the most congested entry point, with waiting times of over three hours (up to 200 minutes) and vehicle queues stretching approximately 500 meters.

According to real-time data recorded at 14:29, the Muçibabë crossing is also experiencing significant delays, with an estimated 40-minute wait and a queue of around 150 meters for inbound vehicles.

In contrast, other border crossings are reporting lighter traffic. At Bërnjak, travelers face a wait of 15–20 minutes, while at Merdarë and Kullë, waiting times range between 5–10 minutes.

The most efficient border crossings for entering Kosovo as of this afternoon include Qafë e Morinës, Qafë e Prushit, Hani i Elezit, Mutivodë, and Stançiq, where waiting times are under five minutes and no queues have been reported.

Kosovo’s border authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and advise travelers to consult real-time traffic updates before beginning their journeys to minimize delays.
