Kosovo Police border units successfully prevented a case of goods smuggling on Thursday in the village of Novosellë, Kaçanik.
Around 1:25 PM, a border patrol from the Muqivërcë Border Surveillance Police Station stopped a vehicle with Serbian license plates that had illegally entered Kosovo’s territory from Serbia.
During the inspection, various types of drugs, suspected of being smuggled, were discovered in the vehicle’s trunk.
The Police announced that the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan was notified, and by order of the duty prosecutor, the case has been classified as “Smuggling of Goods.”
The suspected drugs were temporarily seized and handed over to Kosovo Customs, while the vehicle and the individual involved were released under regular procedure.
