Pristina, August 4, 2025 — The Independent Trade Union of RTK and the Trade Union Association of Radio Kosovo have announced that the general protest planned for tomorrow, August 5, 2025, will be temporarily suspended.
According to the Independent Union of RTK Employees, the decision follows a meeting held today between union representatives and the Acting Director General of RTK, Hysen Hundozi.
During the meeting, union members received encouraging signals that efforts are underway to resolve the issue of unpaid salaries at Kosovo’s public broadcaster.
“We emphasize that the call for protest remains in effect and will be reinstated if a concrete financial solution for RTK is not reached in the coming days. Any further developments will be communicated in a timely manner,” the unions stated.
