The anniversary of the fall of national hero Avni Saraçi was commemorated in Vushtrri with memorial activities organized by the Municipality of Vushtrri.
The ceremonies began with tributes at the Martyrs’ Cemetery at 11:00, where institutional representatives, family members, and citizens paid their respects to his legacy. Later, at 12:00, the unveiling of Avni Saraçi’s statue took place at the site of his fall, near the stone bridge, under the patronage of Vushtrri Mayor Ferit Idrizi.
During the event, the importance of the hero’s sacrifice for the country’s freedom was emphasized, as well as the necessity of preserving his memory for future generations.
