Hot air masses from North Africa have already engulfed Kosovo, pushing temperatures up to 36°C, while in Albania they have reached 40°C.

However, a powerful cyclone moving in from Italy is forecast to hit the region tonight, bringing intense rainfall, heavy thunderstorms, hailstorms, and strong winds. The first impacts will be felt in Montenegro this evening, before spreading overnight into Albania and Kosovo. Due to heavy downpours, local flooding is possible.

📉 On Friday, unstable weather will continue with scattered showers and lightning, followed by a sharp temperature drop of 6–10°C over the weekend as colder air masses move in from northwestern Europe.

🌦️ By Saturday, rainfall will gradually weaken and become isolated, and on Sunday, only sporadic showers are expected in mountainous areas, while much of the country will experience clouds with sunny intervals.
