The Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Lithuania, Denys Shmyhal and Dovilė Šakalienė, have signed a “Letter of Intent” for joint defense production, aimed at strengthening the security of both countries.

“Together, we are focusing on launching joint production facilities, particularly for the development of long-range drones,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal.

He added that the letter of intent was signed in Kyiv alongside Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense, Dovilė Šakalienė.

The two sides discussed specific prospects for industrial cooperation, including opportunities for joint ventures, the expansion of Ukrainian companies in Lithuania, and “technology sharing.”

They also focused on attracting additional funding for arms procurement and the development of Ukraine’s defense industry.

Minister Shmyhal expressed gratitude to Lithuania for its continued and unwavering support of Ukraine.
