Former Constitutional Court judge, Kadri Kryeziu, stated that following Albulena Haxhiu’s election as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti should release her from her duties as Minister of Justice.
A day earlier, Kosovo’s deputies elected Dimal Basha as Speaker of the Assembly, while Albulena Haxhiu, Vlora Çitaku, and Kujtim Shala were elected as Deputy Speakers.
The process stalled in the election of the Deputy Speaker from the Serb community, as the candidate proposed by the Serb List, Slavko Simiq, received only 10 votes.
