The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, met with France’s Special Envoy for the Balkans, René Troccaz, along with the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot, RKS News reports.

During the meeting, Abdixhiku discussed the latest political developments in Kosovo and the current situation, highlighting the challenges the country faces, from institutional deadlock to the consequences of populist governance.

Full statement:

“Today I met with France’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Mr. René Troccaz, as well as the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot.

During our discussion, we addressed the latest political developments and the current situation in Kosovo, particularly the challenges the country faces — from institutional deadlock to the effects of populist governance — as well as LDK’s stance on this situation. I made it clear that the Democratic League of Kosovo does not support practices that harm the constitutional functioning and institutional normality of the country. Those who have embarked on this path must take responsibility for the crises they consciously create.

Finally, I expressed my gratitude for France’s continued support to Kosovo in all its state-building processes and for its important role in supporting our country’s European integration.”
