Russia Claims to Have Intercepted 69 Ukrainian Drones During Nighttime Attacks

Moscow, September 7, 2025 – The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it intercepted and neutralized at least 69 drones launched by Ukraine during a series of nighttime attacks across multiple regions.

According to BBC reports, the Russian ministry stated:

  • 21 drones were intercepted over Krasnodar Krai
  • 13 drones over Voronezh region
  • 10 drones over Belgorod region

“The remaining drones were captured in various other regions across Russia,” the official statement from the Ministry of Defense added.

This announcement comes amid ongoing drone and missile attacks in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, highlighting the continued aerial security tensions along the frontline.
