Following an order from the Special Prosecution, investigators from the Kosovo War Crimes Investigation Directorate have arrested an individual identified by the initials R.D., on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “War Crime against the Civilian Population.”
R.D. is suspected of committing crimes against the civilian population during the Kosovo war.
“The Special Prosecution, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, specifically investigators from the War Crimes Sector, is taking and will continue to take all necessary investigative measures, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code and applicable legislation. The Special Prosecution and Kosovo Police remain committed to investigating and prosecuting the perpetrators of these criminal acts,” the statement from the Special Prosecution reads.
