A violent incident occurred around 11:10 AM on September 14, 2025, on Anton Qeta Street in Gjakovë, ending with a stabbing that police have classified as an attempted murder.
According to sources, a conflict broke out between V.K. and R.B. outside Caffe Park. During the altercation, the suspect, V.K., attacked the victim with a knife, causing serious injuries.
The victim initially received medical treatment at QKUK – Gjakovë and was later transferred to QKUK – Prishtinë for further care.
Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect was wearing a white shirt and fled the scene in a white VW Golf. During a search of his residence, police found a metal rod and a stun gun.
After several hours of investigation, the suspect was located and arrested. Police also recovered the knife used in the attack from his vehicle. Blood alcohol testing revealed the suspect had a high alcohol level of 3.23‰.
Following the intervention of the State Prosecutor, the suspect has been detained for 48 hours, and the case is officially being treated as attempted murder.
