Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti commemorated the 27th anniversary of the death of Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci, alongside other Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) martyrs Fatime Hetemi and Shefqet Zeka.

In his tribute, Kurti highlighted the bravery and dedication of these fighters, who gave their lives in the struggle for Kosovo’s freedom:

“Four KLA martyrs, who fell in combat 27 years ago today, reflect the true nature of the just fight for Kosovo’s liberation,” Kurti wrote.

Fehmi Lladrovci (b. 1956, Gllanasella, Drenas) was educated in mechanical engineering at the University of Zagreb and was a political prisoner from 1985 to 1991. He became a prominent activist in Germany in the 1990s and later returned to Kosovo in 1997, serving as commander of the 114th Brigade of the KLA.

Xhevë Krasniqi Lladrovci (b. 1955, Drenoc, Malishevë) held dual degrees from the University of Pristina in Albanian literature and law. Together with Fehmi, they became lifelong partners in both life and the fight for Kosovo’s independence.

Fatime Hetemi (b. 1977, Bistrica e Shalës) joined the KLA at age 21 in 1998 and fought alongside Xhevë, demonstrating unwavering commitment.

Shefqet Zeka (b. 1977, Pristina) was active in student protests in 1997–1998 and joined Fehmi Lladrovci’s brigade on September 2, 1998.

On September 22, 1998, during a Serbian force incursion near Çikatova and Gllanasella, all four fell in combat in the village of Gradinë. Kurti honored their ultimate sacrifice, emphasizing that their courage helped bring freedom to Kosovo.

“Glory to Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci, Fatime Hetemi, and Shefqet Zeka, who, through their total commitment and ultimate sacrifice, brought liberty to Kosovo.”
