Rinor Nuhiu, political advisor to Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani, has strongly responded to Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Gjurić, who questioned the manner in which President Osmani entered the United Nations.
In a post on platform X, Nuhiu criticized what he described as the “fake news factory” of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Minister Gjurić, emphasizing that Osmani’s presence at the UN follows standard accreditation procedures, just like any other head of state.
“Lie after lie. President Vjosa Osmani was not ‘smuggled’ into the UN by another country, nor did she enter as a ‘tourist’. She is accredited in line with the UN’s procedures, the same as every head of state,” Nuhiu wrote.
He added that Serbia can “shout as much as it wants,” but the facts remain unchanged:
“Kosovo is here. And Kosovo is here to stay. Forever Kosovo.”
The remarks come as tensions between Kosovo and Serbia remain high on the international stage, with Belgrade continuing to dispute Kosovo’s statehood despite its growing diplomatic recognition and engagement in global institutions.
