Croatian President Zoran Milanović addressed the 80th UN General Assembly, emphasizing the importance of regional stability in the Balkans.

Milanović stated that Croatia continues to support legitimate political processes as a foundation for progress in Southeast Europe. He stressed the promotion of good neighborly relations and called on all states to refrain from actions that undermine regional stability.

EU membership is not a solution to all challenges, but it remains a strong driver of prosperity, as seen in Croatia,” Milanović said.

Regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina, he urged full respect for constitutional order, sovereignty, and equality among the three constituent peoples.

Milanović also reiterated his call for an urgent end to the Gaza Strip massacre and for universal recognition of the legitimate political aspirations of the Palestinian people.

On global governance, he highlighted that reforming the United Nations is an existential necessity, noting that the organization must adapt to remain relevant and effective.
