Following another disappointing defeat, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim faced a wave of criticism and growing calls for his dismissal after the 2-1 loss to Brentford in the Premier League.
The Portuguese coach appeared frustrated during the post-match press conference but made it clear that he is not afraid for his future at Old Trafford:
“My dismissal? I’m not afraid because it’s not up to me,” Amorim stated.
Manchester United is going through an unstable period at the start of the season. The team has suffered three losses in six Premier League matches, alongside two wins and one draw.
In addition to league struggles, the Red Devils were also eliminated early from the Carabao Cup following a surprising defeat to lower-league side Grimsby Town.
