Montenegro’s Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić, was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the main road Nikšić – Risan, police confirmed.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. in the village of Knežlaz, on the Lipci – Dragalj stretch in Kotor municipality, involving three vehicles.
Minister Kordić was transported to the Clinical Hospital Center in Kotor for urgent medical treatment. She was traveling in an official vehicle driven by the ministry’s chauffeur.
In addition to Kordić, another woman, identified as S.Č., suffered minor injuries while traveling in a different car.
“The state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Kotor has been informed about the incident. A police investigation has been carried out at the scene, and further actions are being taken to determine the cause of the accident,” the police statement said.
