Xhaçka shared the news on Facebook, emphasizing that this election is a strong message of trust that Albania has a voice, weight, and vision.
“I am honored by the trust given to me today, through my unanimous election as Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
This is not just a new responsibility — it is a strong message of trust that Albania has a voice, weight, and vision.
This duty comes with clear responsibilities: to strengthen my country’s voice in defending democracy, the rule of law, and human rights.
I will be fully committed to supporting Kosovo on its path to membership, standing with Ukraine in its pursuit of justice and peace, and promoting reforms that make Albania an ever more reliable partner.”
