Tragedy struck the Italian Air Force as two soldiers lost their lives when a military aircraft crashed during a training exercise over Circeo National Park, located south of Rome.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her deep condolences following the accident.
“I extend my deepest condolences for the accident involving an Air Force plane near Circeo National Park. My thoughts, as well as those of the Government, are with the families of the victims, the Air Force, and the entire Defense sector,” Meloni said.
The cause of the crash has not yet been officially confirmed, and investigations are underway.
