The United Nations Security Council will hold a session on October 21 to review the situation in Kosovo, according to the organization’s official website.

During this session, the Council will discuss the latest report from UN Secretary-General António Guterres, which is expected to be published in the coming days.

This debate comes six months after the last discussion in April, when member states focused on the future of UNMIK in Kosovo—a mission that began in June 1999 following the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

The United States and the United Kingdom called for the termination of UNMIK’s mandate, while France, Russia, and China supported the continuation of the mission.
