International media have reported on Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama’s joke with Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Ilham Aliyev regarding U.S. President Donald Trump’s gaffe, in which Trump mistakenly referenced a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Albania, when he actually meant the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Prestigious outlets The Telegraph and Politico noted that European leaders mocked Trump over the Albania–Armenia mix-up.
“Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Albania, was filmed teasing Mr. Macron and Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, over the mix-up during the European Political Community meeting in Copenhagen on Thursday,” wrote The Telegraph.
